About the performance

The Salon will begin streaming at 2:00 pm.

Sigal Music Museum is home to over 200 important pianos, harpsichords, spinets, and clavichords, including the first piano commercially made and sold in America, examples from most of the early piano builders in America, and examples of the great instruments from London and Austria. This talk will highlight many of these fine instruments and the stories they tell. Links to videos will be provided at the end.

Hosts Yiheng Yang, Maria Rose, and Patricia Garcia-Gil are joined by Tom Strange, co-founder, Curator and Artistic Director of the Sigal Museum in Greenville, South Carolina, for conversation about the piano collection in the context of America’s 250th birthday celebration.
