THE CATSKILL MOUNTAIN FOUNDATION is a 501(c)(3) regional multi-arts organization located in upstate New York which presents year-round performances, residencies and educational programs in dance, theater, music and family performances in three venues in the villages of Hunter and Tannersville, New York.

Summary
The Catskill Mountain Foundation is seeking a motivated, ambitious, organized, outgoing, and dedicated individual with an interest in the performing arts to join the team as a part-time Staff Associate in the marketing, artists residencies and education office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Associate will report to the Education and Marketing Manager.
Duties include:
- Create and coordinate social media postings across programs
- Assist in developing yearly marketing plan
- Coordinate with visiting artists to acquire promotional materials and draft press releases
- Help maintain the calendar for all venues and residences in coordination with Admin
- Oversee video recordings of all performances, oversee Box uploads and YouTube/Vimeo archives and active uploads, create and organize performance content across platforms
- Oversee the ordering, printing, and displaying of performance banners, playbills, posters, and volunteer distribution of flyers
- Work directly with the Education and Marketing Manager on all administrative needs relating to core responsibilities
- Perform box office duties as needed in coordination with Performing Arts Department
- Perform artists services duties as needed in coordination with Performing Arts Department

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
- A 4-year undergraduate degree in marketing or arts management is preferred, but not required. Experience working at a multi-arts center is preferred but not required.
Language Skills
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common articles and contracts.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from artists and the general community.
- Ability to assist the Education and Marketing Manager effectively in preparing information for presentation by Marketing Manager to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Mathematical Skills
- This position requires knowledge of spreadsheets and charts for use in contracts and arts planning.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office(e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams) and Google Apps (e.g., Sheets, Docs, Forms and Calendar). Experience in online ticketing programs, Social Media Platforms, and video platforms is preferred, but also open to training.

- The employee must have a car and be able to drive between the venues and artist housing, as well as to and from work. Local transportation does not exist.

- A great deal of walking, including up and down ramps and staircases;

- During performances and other programs, the work environment may be noisy and crowded with audience members and performers.
