The Historical Keyboard Society of North America is a United States-based non-profit organization, comprised of members who love and promote early keyboard instruments and the music written for them. Its members include instrument builders, players, teachers, and scholars, as well as many who merely love the looks and sounds of these beautiful instruments.
The theme of the meeting will be “Bach and the 19th century”, focusing on Johann Sebastian Bach and his influence on 19th-century piano composers. Anyone can register for the 4-day event of lectures, presentations, and mini-recitals (see hksna.org), but some of the concert events will also be open to the public through the CMF box office.
