American Dream

The Catskill Mountain Foundation, Victoria Rinaldi and the Valentina Kozlova Dance Conservatory, New York presents an inspiring afternoon of dance for all ages.

The performance will feature a mixture of some of the most iconic solos in classical ballet and brand new cutting edge contemporary work, performed by award winning students who will be the stars of tomorrow.  These same solos will be performed in New York City the following next week  as part of an international Ballet competition.

The Program:

Harlequinade danced by Mari Bell.  A playful, charming solo highlighting Mari's unique turning ability.
Grande pas Classique danced by Sydney Henson. A sophisticated, technically difficult solo, usually reserved for professionals.
Nikaya's Death danced by international gold medalist Nikita Boris.  From the ballet La Bayadere, it is one of ballet's most dramatic moments.
Odalisque from Le Corsaire danced by Lilly Fridlyand, a lively solo from the market scene.
Coppelia's solo from Act I danced by Diana Mastellone.
Solo from Le Corsaire danced Sadie Weintraub
Black Swan solo from Act III of Swan Lake danced by Jillian Shurbert. An iconic tour de force.
Valentina Vucenik, Nikita Boris, Sydney Henson, Mari Bell and Orlando Harbutt will perform new contemporary work that was specially created for them.

There will be a short Q & A after.
