Commissioned by Works & Process at the Guggenheim for premiere in Fall 2022, UnderScored, is a multi-faceted project that exists as a series of performances, community events and in the creation of an oral history archive of club life. Rooted in the intergenerational stories and memories of NYC underground club heads, UnderScored is created in collaboration with legendary elders from the underground dance community. The cast ranges in age from 26-78 and is inspired by the stories and vibes of several seminal underground parties.
