Arrival and Departure

Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts is located in the Catskill Mountains, in the town of Windham, NY, roughly 3 hours north of New York City and one hour south of Albany. The easiest way to travel to Sugar Maples is by car.

Directions

Please take the time to study the map and directions before setting off on your course. It is highly recommended that students travel by car. However, if public transportation is necessary, the closest bus stop is Adirondack Trailways' Windham stop (roughly 5 minutes from campus). A shuttle service from the bus stop can be arranged through Sugar Maples for a fee of $10 each way. Please contact 518 263 2073 at least two weeks prior to your class start date to arrange a shuttle.

• From Hunter. From Route 23A, turn right onto Route 296. At the stop sign in Hensonville, take a right on County Route 40. Continue 5 minutes to
  Maplecrest and turn left at the Maplecrest sign onto Big Hollow Road.
• From Windham. From Route 23, turn right onto Route 65. In Hensonville, take a left onto Route 40. Continue 5 minutes to Maplecrest and turn left at the Maplecrest sign onto Big Hollow Road.
