Photo Transfer & Ceramic Jewelry

For the first 2 days of this workshop we will learn methods of transferring images onto ceramics: silkscreen and rice paper transfer. These techniques can be adapted to both flat and rounded forms, and used on greenware and bisque. Then we will spend 2 days exploring an assortment of low fire techniques such as Egyptian paste, inlay and slip trailing, crystalline glazes as well as using photo transfer to create ceramic jewelry. Necklaces, pins, earrings, bracelets, brooches and buttons are all possible. The last day will be devoted to utilizing findings to construct wearable pieces to take home.
