Note: This course has been offered in the past and is provided for informational purposes only.

We will explore the many facets of hand building, focusing on slab-work and extrusions in the light of making functional stoneware. We'll use unconventional forming methods and unusual approaches to surface decoration, including stencils, slip inlay and stretched slabs. Myths will be busted and secrets revealed. Students may choose to use Cone 6 or Cone 10 stoneware. Students may return at a later date for glazing for a small fee.
