Workshop

Note: This course has been offered in the past and is provided for informational purposes only.

Hand Building Techniques for Creating Sculpture & Vessels

This workshop is open to all levels of experience and encourages the exploration of working with clay as a medium for the expression of ideas and feelings. Hand building forms of figures and animals connects us to ancient sources and helps us discover the relationship between our contemporary lives and ancient traditions and techniques. Referencing images from many cultures we will discover how small scale achieves monumental power. The use of stains, slips and glazes will be available for cone 6 electric firing at a later date.
