Workshop

Note: This course has been offered in the past and is provided for informational purposes only.

Pots: Thrown, Altered & Decorated

This workshop will focus on altering the wheel thrown form. We will work with cone 6 clay to explore altered forms, both square and oval, to make functional pots. Low fire (majolica) and mid range (cone 6) decorating techniques will also be demonstrated. Students will also learn how to make pots using slump molds and hump mold and combining these vessels with thrown pieces. Pots will be bisqued and students will have an opportunity to come back at a later date to glaze for a small fee.
