2007 Photo Contest Results
September 2007
The votes are in and the winners of the 2007 Photography Contest have been decided! First, let me thank everyone who submitted their photographs. The Guide magazine would not be known for its beautiful images without you. And, my job would not be nearly as rewarding, so really, “Thank you!”
Second, let me mention how difficult the voting was this year. The number of submissions increases every year, making for fabulous viewing but creating a very competitive contest. I continue to be awed by the outstanding talent in our region and know I’m not the only one who feels this way.
Third, I would like to encourage everyone to enter the contest again next year. It’s the only way to have your photograph appear on the cover and like they say in the lottery: “hey, you never know.”
Finally, with the bounty of the growing season upon us, we thought it would be timely to feature the winners of the “Farm Scenes” category this month. And we’ll continue to reveal our contest winners in future months.
Again, thanks to you all and, “Congratulations!”
