“Mountain Laurel Vista” by Jim Slane Jim Slane’s interest in photography began in junior high school where he was active on the yearbook and acted as the school photographer. After high school and college Jim continued to take pictures for the local newspapers but only upon retirement was he able to give photography more of his attention, though he says, “it’s still not as much as I’d like.” Jim is a member of the Ulster County Photography Club, which gives him an opportunity to interact with other photographers, pick up ideas and share some of his own. ‹ back to August 2007
