Finally, we have a black and white photograph of tall grasses blown into an intriguing shape. The billowy clouds in the sky form a pleasing counterpoint to the scrambled lines below, and we have a sense that a wind is blowing across the landscape. There aren’t many photographers today who take black and white photographs of landscapes, but here we can enjoy the gradations of tones that can only be seen when our eyes are not dazzled by natural colors. back to July 2002
