Landscapes of Green
May 2001
It has been said that the month of May is a time of miracles.
Not only have the planted seeds begun to sprout; not only are the beautiful flowering trees in bloom, not only has the weather turned warm and pleasant, but we can sense something uniquely uplifting in the air. Perhaps it is the excitement of new life that has come into being or the scent of blossoms in the fullness of spring. The promise of April did not disappoint us after all; it heralded the month when nature is at its best.
We open this photography portfolio with clouds in a bright sky moving over a newly grown field. We can almost feel the fresh breezes in our face as we look at the hills in the distance. Then we see a planted garden coming to life and an imaginative fence surrounding it that is a work of art in itself. In this issue we have two grand panoramas Ð one showing the sweep of a farmland readying for the season and one of a green hillside looking calm and serene. And finally, we see a lone horse enjoying the fine weather.
It is a wonderful time of the year!
