“Dew Stars,” by Jacek Ratkowski Jacek Ratkowski (whose image appears on this month's cover) got his first digital camera three years ago. It was a Canon Power Shot A410. He quickly realized that he could appreciate the details of nature taking micro pictures and says, "I started taking these pictures during long walks in the morning. The light is the best then, and the dew on the grass is beautiful." Jacek takes most of his pictures in the upper Neversink Valley (West Branch), which he says is one of the wildest places in the Catskills, and one of the greenest.
