“Twin Mountain” by Kelly Sinclair

"Kingston Reservoir, Sawkill Road," which appears on the previous spread, was the second place winner in the Water category and "Twin Mountain," above, won second place in the Mountain category of the Guide's 2008 photo contest. Both photographs were taken by Kelly Sinclair. Following in her mother's footsteps, Kelly started taking black and white photographs in high school and continued studying at SUNY Purchase. She has discovered color photography with her digital camera, but black and white is still her passion. She loves being in nature and takes her camera with her on her daily walks. Her photographs have appeared in Chronogram magazine, the Hudson Valley Guide, and appear frequently in the Guide.
