“Dewdrops” by Jacek Ratkowski “I have never taken any classes and I think the secret is good ‘connection’ with your camera, even it is old and simple.” —Jacek Ratkowski Jacek Ratkowski (whose image appears on the opposite page) got his first digital camera three years ago. It was a Canon Power Shot A410. He quickly realized that he could appreciate the details of nature taking micro pictures and says, "I started taking these pictures during long walks in the morning. The light is the best then, and the dew on the grass is beautiful." Jacek takes most of his pictures in the upper Neversink Valley (West Branch), which he says is one of the wildest places in the Catskill Mountains, and one of the greenest.
