We took photographs and turned to head down. Hiking down was even more comical and fear-inducing than hiking up. Down takes more strength and control. I took the same approach to blocking Rodger's side adjacent to the precipitous aspects of the trail, nearly killing myself several times in the process until we made it to the bottom.
