"Ashokan Reservoir," by Henning Vahlenkamp

Henning Vahlenkamp's first experience with a camera was over 20 years ago in a middle school graphics class, where he shot black and white photos and developed them in the darkroom. The experience left a lasting impression. Years later, Henning got involved in hiking places like the Catskills and Adirondacks. The inspiring mountain scenery revived his interest in photography. He's been actively photographing for about eight years now and started by shooting slide film with the Canon EOS 1v. He switched to digital, currently using the Canon EOS 5D, when that became competitive with film SLRs.
