“Split Rock” by John Hayes

John Hayes took the photograph, Split Rock, featured on this month’s cover. John considers himself “an amateur landscape photographer that has lately (since 2000) developed an interest in wildlife photography.” He uses a Nikon and prefers 35mm slide format to digital photography. His work has appeared in the Guide on a number of occasions and this is the second time one of his photographs has been featured on our cover. More of John’s work can be viewed at rockhillridge.com.
