Through the Camera Lens

"Food Frenzy," by Nora Adelman

“I took this picture at a koi pond. I stood at the rail and threw some food in, not knowing what would happen. It was actually scary watching the fish react.” —Nora Adelman

Nora Adelman grew up in Brooklyn and has been taking pictures since she was a kid. Having left the city 20 years ago she says she still doesn’t take the scenic beauty for granted. Now retired her first priority is to, “learn as much as I can about photography and take more pictures.” She says, “I get anxious if I don’t have my camera so I take it everywhere, even if I don’t take a single picture at least I haven’t made myself anxious.” Nora is a member of the Greene County Camera Club and says that the friendly, supportive atmosphere is stimulating and has helped her a great deal. Nora’s work will appear in a show titled, Many Eyes, Many Views at the Athens Culture Center at 24 Second Street in Athens until July 29.
