Women in Film

Women Directors, first in a two part series. A free lecture and film program at the Mountain Cinema featuring American director Joan Micklin Silver, who will talk about her work and show her acclaimed film, Crossing Delancey, released in 1988 and starring Amy Irving. Ms. Silver received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College. Her early low budget film, Hester Street received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for actress Carol Kane. Silver also conceived and directed a musical revue, A...My Name is Alice with Julienne Boyd.
