Classical Guitarist Robert DonahoeHunter Village Coffee HouseDate: Saturday, July 25, 11am
Classical guitarist Robert Donahoe is a self-taught guitarist, having played the instrument for more than 60 years. The Spanish Socity in his native Pittsburgh made him an honorary member for his performances in that city. He played on the soundtrack for a film on Spain produced by Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie, NY. He has performed in Florida, New York City at Federal Hall and upstate New York at many venues including Mohonk Mountain House. Donahoe followed a dual career as an actor, appearing in over 170 plays and films over 31 years. Because of his success as a performing artist, Bob has experienced many rewarding career opportunities such as college administrator, desk clerk, fund raiser, bartender, histoy teacher, borcht belt comedian, and janitor. He is currently employed by Hunter Mt. Ski Bowl. A graduate of the University of Florida and a resident of the Village of Hunter, Donahoe will present a varied program of guitar solos, but one that is heavily weighted toward Latin American and Spanish music.
