Catskill High Peaks Festival: Student ResidencyFor the third year, cellists, violinists and pianists are hosted by the Catskill Mountain Foundation for intensive instrumental study and chamber music coaching with distinguished faculty. Daily cello and chamber music master classes, led by Yehuda Hanani and other eminent faculty members, are open to the public. Festival artists include pianists Michael Chertock and Dianna Anderson, violinist Stefan Milenkovich, cellist Erik Anderson, percussionist Arti Dixson, and bassist James Cammack. "We hope to infuse students over a relatively short period with love and enthusiasm for their chosen vocation and with an appreciation of past traditions and a spirit of adventure and discovery." Mornings will be devoted to individual practice sessions and classes led by Yehuda Hanani and other eminent members of the teaching staff including Festival Artists pianists Michael Chertock and Dianna Anderson, violinist Stefan Milenkovich, and cellist Erik Anderson. Master classes, scheduled for the afternoons, include:Encounters I "Crossing Over -- Bridging the Classical and Popular."
