Catskill High Peaks Festival: Student Residency

For the third year, cellists, violinists and pianists are hosted by the Catskill Mountain Foundation for intensive instrumental study and chamber music coaching with distinguished faculty.  Daily cello and chamber music master classes, led by Yehuda Hanani and other eminent faculty members, are open to the public.  Festival artists include pianists Michael Chertock and Dianna Anderson, violinist Stefan Milenkovich, cellist Erik Anderson, percussionist Arti Dixson, and bassist James Cammack.

Mornings will be devoted to individual practice sessions and classes led by Yehuda Hanani and other eminent members of the teaching staff including Festival Artists pianists Michael Chertock and Dianna Anderson, violinist Stefan Milenkovich, and cellist Erik Anderson.

Encounters I "Crossing Over -- Bridging the Classical and Popular."
An informal talk with Michael Chertock, pianist of the Cincinnati Pops Orchestra

Encounters II: "Evolution of Violin Showpieces."
An informal lecture/demonstration by Stefan Milenkovich

Students will have opportunities to perform for the public:

At open master classes
At the homes of local residents for evening soirees
At Classical Kids, an afternoon performance for children
At a Prelude performances prior to scheduled performances on August 18

Student Accommodations

Student housing will be in the Sherwood House on the campus of the Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts in the Hamlet of Maplecrest, NY in the Town of Windham.
