Story Telling with Nnansulirwa
Date: Saturday, January 17, 2:30pm Location: Village Square Bookstore & Literary Arts Center, Rte 23A, Main St., Village of Hunter, NY Information: 518 263 2050 Free admission
In honor of Martin Luther King, local storyteller Nnansulirwa will be on hand to engage in interactive storytelling for children of all ages. Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday with us on this date. Children, share with us what you know about Dr. King. Then act in one of Nnansurlirwa's original stories. Nnansulirwa is a storyteller of interactive tall tales presented or told by her and acted out by her audience. Grandma of seven, she is a member in good standing of the African Folk Heritage Circle (AFHC). She is a teller of tales since she was a teenage babysitter. For fifty years, she has had children act out her stories because "everybody's an actor at heart."
