Noted Performance Poet Janine Pommy Vega will be at the bookstore to read from and sign her latest book, The Green Piano. Jenine Pommy Vega is the author of eighteen books and chapbooks since 1968. Her first CD, Across the Table, recorded in Woodstock, and from live performance in Italy and Bosnia, was released in November, 2007. Vega performs music and solo, in English and Spanish, in international poetry festivals, museums, prisons, universities, cafes, nightclubs, and migrant workers' camps in South America, North American and Europe. She has been anthologized extensively, and has recorded her poems and a memoir of the Beats for Audio Literature's Women of the Beat Generation.
