The Woodstock Film Festival, one of the country's leading independent film events, returns to our cinemas this fall for another round of world premieres by some of today's most talented emerging and established filmmakers. Last year's line-up included seven World Premieres, two North American Premieres, seven U.S. Premieres, nine East Coast Premieres and fifteen NY Premieres, with entries from the Weinstein Company, IFC Films and Warner Independent Pictures, including the Indigo Girls' hit documentary Shut Up and Sing. The Woodstock Film Festival was created in 2000 by filmmakers born of the kind of passion for cinema that can come only from working artists and those who support their creative pursuits.
