Reading with I. Alexander Olchowski

Columbia County novelist I. Alexander Olchowski will read from his new novel The Farmer.  Inspired by a small family farm located in Hancock, MA, the story chronicles the family's struggle to survive in modern times, evolving from dairy farming into a fully diversified agri-tourism business, with one generation hoping to hand the stewardship of the land to the next. In addition to reading from the book and discussing the process of writing and publishing, Mr. Olchowski will also introduce guests to The Slow Book Movement. Inspired by The Slow Food Movement originally started in Italy, Olchowski founded this movement in November of last year to function as a vehicle for encouraging people of all ages to slow down and read more books as a way to counteract the increasingly digitized world we find ourselves now living in.
