Art Talkwith Tabitha Gilmore-BarnesDate: May 9 at 1:00pm Tabitha Gilmore-Barnes' hand woven blankets, table linens, and tapestries are made from the handspun and hand dyed wools bought from local Alpaca and Shetland breeders and are inspired by the seasonal colors viewed from her studio in Denver, NY. She rarely repeats the same weaving pattern in her products, so each is a one-of-a-kind work of art. Her craft combines the artisans' traditions of hand spinning and dyeing, with the technology of an AVL loom. She teaches spinning and weaving, lectures and exhibits widely in the Catskills, the Adirondacks, the Albany area and New York City. She will be in the Kaaterskill Fine Arts Gallery on Saturday, May 9th from 1-2 p.m. to demonstrate her skill and talk about her art. Join us for an informal and enjoyable discussion.
