Theater Ten TenHappy EndOrganized Crime vs. the Salvation Army in 1920s Chicago. Saturday, June 2, 8:00 p.m.
Theater Ten Ten, New York City's longest operating Equity theater company dedicated to producing classic and contemporary plays and musicals, returns to the Catskills with Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill's follow-up to The Threepenny Opera, Happy End. Happy End is directed by David Fuller, whose many hits include The Threepenny Opera for Jean Cocteau Repertory and The Singapore Mikado for Theater Ten Ten. An adaptation by the Village Voice's Michael Feingold, Happy End features some of Weill's most well known songs, including "The Sailor's Tango," "Surabaya Johnny" and "Song of the Big Shot." This will be Theater Ten Ten's fourth appearance at the Catskill Mountain Foundation, which was last seen at Hunter in 2005 with their British Music Hall revue entitled "A Little of What You Fancy." This event is funded in part by the Jarvis and Constance Doctorow Family Foundation.
