Story:
Prince Siegfried follows a flock of white swans to the edge of a lake. As he's about to shoot one, the swans transform into humans. They are under the spell of Rothbart, an evil magician. Only at night can they resume human form and only eternal love can break the spell. Siegfried vows his eternal love to Odette, queen of the swan-maidens but Rothbart tricks him into declaring his love for another. Siegfried realizes the mistake at once and rushes to Odette to beg her forgiveness. Rothbart follows and is killed in his attempt to keep Odette and Siegfried apart. The spell is broken.
