Three concerts featuring renowned duo pianists Vladimir Pleshakov and Elena Winther and guest artists performing on historic pianos from the collection of the Pleshakov Piano Museum. Bach: Two Profiles Featuring Vladirmir Pleshakov and Elena Winther, pianists and William Carragan, harpsichordist. Carragan will play Bach’s Fourth Partita on the instrument for which it was written—the harpsichord. In total contrast, Pleshakov and Winther will play on the modern piano transcriptions of Bach’s major works by Liszt, Busoni, Rachmaninoff, and Max Reger’s transcription for two pianos of one of Bach’s Brandenburg Concerti. “World class concerts and lectures, an ongoing cultural treasure for the region.” John Paul Keeler of the Hudson Valley Newspaper, March 2006.
