At The Orpheum Performing Arts Center

The Orpheum Performing Arts Center is a spectacular, 12,500 square foot theater. Every seat is a great seat with clear sightlines to the stage. The stage proscenium is 40 feet wide with 15 foot wings on both sides and is 35 feet deep. The Orpheum has been designed for dance, and we look forward to developing extensive programming in dance in this venue.

At the Sugar Maples Campus

The Sugar Maples Center for Creative Arts runs a summer season of visual arts courses.

The Sherwood House continues to house students attending the Sugar Maples ceramic workshops throughout the summer, students of the music residencies held throughout the summer, and artists participating in the CMF programs.

The Podell Library and Art Collection invites visitors and residents to browse the eclectic book collection and enjoy the art collection gathered through travels throughout the world.

The two main buildings of the former Sugar Maples Resort, which had deteriorated to the point of near collapse, have now been demolished and, with the completion of the Greene County Soil & Water Conservation landscaping project, the campus is looking much better.

Work remains to raise the funds to renovate the old motel buildings into housing and practice space for future CMF programs.
